Props to Google for giving Pac-Man the proper 30th birthday nod... This reminds me of the banner ad that you could play Pong in back in the day (late 90's). I used to know all the patterns for each level and now I have no patience for this! Donkey Kong is a different story, though!

Obama's Fantastic Five - Oil Spill Justice League?

Hey, a follow-up to my previous post... Obama is assembling an all-star team to fight the oil spill. I love it when the resume of a special forces team states things like, "...developing the first hydrogen bomb", "novel drilling methods", and "mining mars surface". We have really smart, skilled people in this country that are wasting their time on corporate pursuits - America needs more super hero teams! Bring it!

Lids and Robots No Match for BP Blunder

This video really depresses me... It shows a lame attempt to cap the massive British Petroleum oil spill off the coast of Louisiana. They're using a huge robot arm to lower a 100 ton containment dome onto the hole in the sea bed to no avail. Check out the massive rush from around the hole - the earth is bleeding! This band-aid will not stop it!

I appreciate the engineers who are trying to stop the damage, it's just depressing that this is what it's come to. Metaphoric on many levels...

Mysterious Hieroglyphics Surface in Ashland

I walked outside today and found these mysterious glyphs embedded into my crappy, crack-ridden driveway. What civilization doth these images mirror? Who is the enigmatic artist behind these carefully drawn historic symbols? What secrets lie in the simple chalk and stone before me!?!

After much local inquiry, archeologist Henry Raedeke answered these questions and more, "Dad, it's Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark of the Covenant! He just lowered himself down on a vine into the cave." Silly me, I lack the interpretive vision!
